Questions about this#
Do charter bookings need a GDS or PNR?
No. Allotment inventory is held and sold inside the platform, so there is no GDS segment cost on a charter sale. Ticketing documents and manifests are generated from the platform, and you can still combine a charter leg with a GDS-issued scheduled flight in the same itinerary.
Can I sell the same block at different prices to different agents?
Yes. The block is one pool of seats; price is a rule layered on top. A tier-one agent, a walk-in customer on your B2C site and a partner operator can all be buying from the same inventory at three different prices.
What happens as the departure date approaches and seats are unsold?
You get utilisation and break-even alerts at thresholds you set, and you can configure dynamic pricing rules that adjust automatically — for example, releasing a discount to all tiers at fourteen days if load factor is below target.
