Engagement models

Own it, subscribe to it, or have it built.

The same platform, offered three ways. Most agencies start on SaaS to prove the market and move to ownership once volume justifies it — and you can switch without rebuilding what you have configured.

Model 01

Ownership

You buy the platform outright and run it as your own asset. No per-booking share, no renewal that reprices your margin.

  • One-time licence, deployed on your cloud or ours
  • No per-transaction fee — your margin stays yours
  • Your data on your infrastructure, in your jurisdiction
  • Source-code handover or escrow available
  • Rebrand, resell or white-label to your own clients
  • Optional annual maintenance and support contract
  • Enhancements quoted per scope, on your schedule

Fits: established agencies and consolidators with steady volume, groups with data-residency requirements, and anyone who would rather buy an asset than rent one.

Most chosenModel 02

SaaS

Subscribe and go live. Hosting, upgrades, security and supplier maintenance are ours; selling is yours.

  • Monthly subscription or pay-per-booking
  • No capital outlay and no infrastructure to run
  • Standard configuration live in 24 hours
  • Upgrades, patches and new features included
  • Standard supplier connections maintained for you
  • Scale up for season and back down after it
  • Uptime monitoring, backups and disaster recovery included
  • Free trial before you commit

Fits: new entrants, agencies testing a new market or product line, seasonal charter operators, and teams without an in-house IT function.

Model 03

Custom development

We build to your specification — starting from the Rezofy platform or from a blank page, with a dedicated team and a fixed scope.

  • Discovery, wireframes and a signed scope before code
  • Bespoke workflows, pricing logic and private supplier connections
  • Dedicated team: business analyst, developers, QA, project manager
  • Two-week sprints with working demos, not status decks
  • Code delivered to your repository — the IP is yours
  • Integration with your existing CRM, ERP or mid-office
  • Fixed-milestone billing or a monthly dedicated-team rate
  • Post-launch warranty and an optional support retainer

Fits: large TMCs, airline and consolidator groups with unusual workflows, and funded startups whose product is the differentiator.

Choosing

Which one fits you.#

Choose Ownership when

  • Your monthly volume is proven and a per-booking share is now your largest software cost
  • You need data on your own infrastructure for regulatory or client reasons
  • You want to white-label the platform to your own clients as your product
  • You have, or can hire, someone to own infrastructure decisions
  • You would rather capitalise the spend than expense it monthly

Choose SaaS when

  • You want to be selling next week, not next quarter
  • You are entering a new market and want to prove it before investing
  • Your volume is seasonal and a fixed licence would sit idle half the year
  • You have no in-house IT function and no wish to build one
  • You want every platform release automatically, without a project

Choose Custom development when

  • Your workflow is your competitive advantage and no product matches it
  • You have private supplier connections nobody else has
  • You are funded and the product itself is what you are selling
  • You need deep integration with an existing ERP or mid-office
  • You need to own the IP outright for investor or acquisition reasons

Questions about this#

Can I start on SaaS and move to Ownership later?

Yes, and many agencies do exactly that. You prove the market on subscription, then buy the licence once volume makes ownership cheaper than the per-booking share. Your data, configuration and agent base carry across — there is no rebuild and no migration weekend.

What is actually included in the ownership licence?

The platform, deployed on your cloud or ours, with your branding and configuration, plus the supplier connections agreed at the point of sale. Source-code handover or escrow is available. Annual maintenance and support is optional and priced separately, as are enhancements beyond the original scope.

Is SaaS priced monthly or per booking?

Either, and the right answer depends on your volume and seasonality. A steady high-volume desk usually does better on a flat subscription; a seasonal charter operator usually does better paying per booking. We will model both against your numbers before you choose.

Who owns the code in a custom development engagement?

You do. Code is delivered to your repository as it is written, not at the end, and the IP is yours. Where the build starts from the Rezofy platform, the licence terms for that base are set out in the contract before work begins.

Do all three models get new supplier APIs in 3–7 working days?

Yes. The turnaround is the same; only the commercial treatment differs. On SaaS, standard connections are included in your plan. On ownership, each connection is quoted. On custom development, connections are part of the agreed scope.
