Multi-currency introduces a real accounting question: the currency the customer paid in, the currency you settle in and the rate applied between them all need to be visible per booking, or the reconciliation will not close. The platform records all three.

CCAvenue integration questions#
How does multi-currency settlement get reconciled?
Each booking records the display currency, the settlement currency and the rate applied. Settlement files match against those figures, so a variance is visible as a variance rather than as an unexplained gap in the ledger.
Can I display one currency and settle in another?
Yes, and most agencies selling internationally do. Display currency is set per point of sale, settlement is set per gateway account, and your FX markup sits between them.
Does the refund go back in the original currency?
Yes, to the original payment method in the currency of the original transaction, which avoids the FX dispute that arises when it does not.
